Scan-based pricing makes your DPP bill a function of your customers' behaviour (a viral product spike can 10× your invoice overnight); per-SKU undercounts variants and serial-level mandates; per-consumer-view is identical to per-scan with extra steps. Annual is about two months cheaper than monthly. The discount mirrors industry-standard 15–20% annual savings; we apply it consistently across all paid plans. Annual subscriptions are billed upfront. You can switch annual ↔ monthly at renewal time without penalty.
30-day grace at no charge. Your published Digital Product Passports remain publicly resolvable for 30 days after cancellation so QR codes printed on physical products don't brick mid-migration. If you operated on a custom domain (every paid plan), the grace window is the time to re-point your DNS at another vendor — the URL on the printed QR is yours forever because the domain is yours. Yes. Downgrades that reduce the passport cap below your active count may trigger an overage charge on the remaining passports at the new plan's per-passport rate; we warn you before you confirm. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated charges.
Yes — the Free tier lets you create three passports end-to-end, including AI extraction, GS1 QR code generation, and the public passport page. There is no time limit and no credit card required. When you need more passports or want category-specific templates beyond batteries, you upgrade to a paid plan; nothing is suspended automatically.
EPCIS 2.0 — export, capture and query — is included on every plan, Free included. Tiers differ by event volume per month (Free 10, Basic 1,000, Starter 10,000, Growth 100,000, Scale 1,000,000, Pro 10,000,000, Enterprise unlimited). On paid plans, overage past the included allowance is opt-in at a per-1,000-event block rate that decreases as the tier grows. Free hitting its cap requires an upgrade to keep capturing. Yes — TracePass ships a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, so AI assistants like Claude or Cursor can manage products, passports, and EPCIS events directly.
